Joining a League

Leagues in Batter’s Eye are linked to your ESPN fantasy baseball league. Once connected, the platform syncs your roster and provides personalized analysis.

If someone in your league has already set it up:

  1. They’ll send you an invite link (valid for 7 days, single-use)
  2. Click the link while signed in to Batter’s Eye
  3. You’ll be added to the league automatically

That’s it — you’ll immediately see the league in the dropdown in the top-right corner of the app. If the invite was created for a specific team, that team is claimed for you automatically on join (as long as it’s still unclaimed and you haven’t claimed another) — otherwise, claim your team in League → Admin → Teams.

If you’re the first person from your ESPN league:

  1. Go to League in the navigation
  2. Click Create League
  3. Enter your ESPN League ID — you can find this in your ESPN fantasy league URL (it’s the number after leagueId=)
  4. The platform will sync your league’s rosters automatically

After creating a league:

  1. Go to LeagueAdminInvites sub-tab
  2. Optionally pick a team for the invite — a team-targeted invite auto-claims that team for whoever joins with it (the default is a generic all-teams invite)
  3. Click Create Invite, then Copy Link and share it with your league mate

Each invite link is single-use. Create a new one for each person you want to invite.

Some features (like roster sync) require ESPN credentials. See Connecting ESPN for details.

You can add as many ESPN leagues as you want. Just repeat the Create League steps above with a different ESPN League ID. Each league gets its own roster sync, ownership data, and analysis.

If you’re in multiple leagues, use the league dropdown in the top-right corner of the app to switch between them. Your selected league affects what you see on the My Team page, ownership badges on the Players page, and pickup recommendations.
