Push Notifications

Push notifications deliver Batter’s Eye alerts to your browser or phone even when the app isn’t open. Push mirrors the in-app bell — anything that lands in the bell can also reach you as a push. What triggers an alert (and quiet hours, batching, and per-event toggles) is covered on the Notifications page; this page is about getting push working on your devices.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Click Enable in the push status card
  3. Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow

The status card flips to Push enabled and shows how many devices are subscribed. Use Send Test to verify delivery — a test notification is queued and should arrive within moments.

If push is off or unsupported, the in-app bell still shows everything — push is purely an extra delivery channel.

Push requires a browser that supports the Web Push standard:

  • Chrome, Edge, Firefox — supported on desktop and Android.
  • Safari — supported on macOS 13+.
  • iPhone / iPad — supported, but only after you add Batter’s Eye to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen) and enable push from the installed app. This is an iOS requirement, not a Batter’s Eye one.
  • Brave — blocks push by default. Enable “Use Google services for push messaging” in brave://settings/privacy first.

If your browser can’t deliver push, the status card says so — in-app notifications still work.

Push subscriptions are per-device. Enable push on your phone and your laptop and both will receive alerts. The Devices panel in Settings → Notifications lists every subscribed device with a per-device remove button; the master Disable button unsubscribes all devices at once.

  • Not receiving pushes? Check that your browser has notification permission for the site, and that the event is enabled under Notifications → Triggers. On iPhone, confirm you’re running the Home Screen app.
  • Pushes arrive late? Delivery depends on your browser and OS — some mobile browsers batch notifications to save battery. Alerts may also be deferred by your quiet hours window.
  • Test works but real alerts don’t? Make sure the relevant trigger is enabled and the player is on your roster or watchlist.
  • Notifications — every trigger, quiet hours, and the in-app bell.
  • Watchlist — the players your game alerts follow.
