Trade Block

The Trade Block tab on the League page turns your league into a live trade market. Every member can put their own players on the block and advertise what they need — and the moment a leaguemate lists a player (or category) you want, you get a notification. It’s the fastest way to find a deal without spamming the league chat.

Only fantasy team names are ever shown — never manager real names. The Trade Block behaves identically in redraft, keeper, and dynasty leagues.

Listing Players and Setting Wants

You manage the block for your own claimed team (claim a team in the League → Admin tab first).

  • Put a player on the block. On the Trade Block tab, pick one of your rostered players and list them. You can also use the small tag button on any row of your My Team → Roster to list or unlist a player in place.
  • Set your wants. Tap the scoring categories you need (e.g. SB, SV). To target a specific player, hit I want on any listing in the league market. Your wants are what power the match notifications.

Everything is opt-in: you only appear on the block for players you choose to list, and you’re only matched on wants you set.

Match Notifications

This is the heart of the feature. When any leaguemate lists a player that satisfies one of your wants, you get an in-app bell notification (and a web push, if enabled) that deep-links straight to the Trade Block tab.

  • A player want matches when that exact player hits the block.
  • A category want matches when a listed player materially contributes to that category.

Matches respect your quiet hours and a per-user opt-in. Each match notifies you once while the listing and your want both stand — no repeat pings for the same pairing. Remove and re-add a listing (or a want) and it re-arms.

You can toggle these off any time under Settings → Notifications → Trade Block.

Reading the Tab

  • Matches for you — a highlighted section at the top listing players you want that are already on the block, and who has them.
  • On the block / Your wants — your own listings (with a remove button) and your category/player wants.
  • Around the league — every other team’s listed players and advertised category needs, with an I want button on each player.

Works With the Trade Finder

The Trade Finder is aware of the block. Proposals that involve a block-listed player — or that hand a partner a category they’ve explicitly asked for — are boosted and carry an “on the block” badge, so the deals most likely to get a “yes” float to the top. The boost never hides other proposals; a member who hasn’t set a block sees the exact same Trade Finder results as before.

The match notifications, not the Trade Finder boost, are the coverage guarantee: the notification scan finds every match — including specific-player wants and partners the Finder’s fairness gate would skip — while the Finder boost is an in-tab convenience.

Notes

  • The Trade Block is per-league. Listings and wants don’t carry across your other leagues.
  • It surfaces and notifies; it does not send offers or write anything back to ESPN. When you find a match, take it to the AI Trade Verdict to grade it, then negotiate off-platform.
  • A team can list up to 25 players and advertise up to 25 wants.
