Shareable Player Cards

Every player has a public share page at batters-eye.com/p/{player} — a clean, standalone snapshot you can drop into a trade argument, a group chat, or a tweet. Anyone can open it, signed in or not, and links unfurl into a rich preview image wherever you paste them.

What’s on a share card

  • Player identity — name, position, team, age, and bats/throws.
  • Redraft and dynasty consensus ranks, side by side — the aggregated average across our ranking sources, for both formats. (We never show only one format.)
  • Consensus by source — each ranking source’s individual rank, so you can see the spread.
  • Statcast percentiles — headline percentile bars (xwOBA, Barrel %, Hard-Hit %, and more for hitters; xwOBA, K %, Whiff %, Chase % for pitchers) when Statcast data is available.
  • Rank trend — a small sparkline of the player’s combined rank over the last 90 days, once enough daily snapshots have accrued. New players (and everyone, right after this feature ships) won’t see a trend line until at least two days of history exist.
  • Latest note — the most recent AI-generated blurb for the player, when there’s fresh news.

Players without rankings or Statcast data (deep prospects, for example) still get a clean card that shows whatever we do have.

Open any player’s detail view and click the copy-link button (the chain icon) in the header. That copies batters-eye.com/p/{player} to your clipboard — paste it anywhere.

When a link-preview crawler (Discord, iMessage, Slack, X/Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and search engines) fetches the link, it receives a 1200×630 preview image and title/description tags, so the link expands into a card in the conversation. Humans who click through land on the full interactive page.

Share pages are deliberately public-safe. They contain no league, roster, ownership, or account information — nothing about who owns a player in any league, and no personal data. Only the neutral, aggregated player information above is ever shown.
