League Management
The League page is the hub for everything league-wide. The header shows the league name, its scoring type, team count, and season, a league switcher when you’re in more than one league, and an Open on ESPN link.
The League Rag Card
Section titled “The League Rag Card”When weekly recaps are enabled and at least one has been published, a card appears above the tabs for every member: The League Rag with the latest week’s label, a Read button that opens the public recap page, and a copy-link button for dropping it in the league chat. Older weeks tuck behind a Previous weeks expander. See The League Rag for the full feature.
| Tab | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Activity | The league-wide transaction feed — trades, adds, drops, and waivers, filterable by season. This is the default tab. |
| Standings | Win/loss records and per-category rankings with color-coded strength badges. |
| Rankings | Three power-ranking views — Projected (Steamer), Season Stats, and Schedule (SOS) — in one tab. |
| Matchups | The head-to-head scoreboard for any week, with per-category winners highlighted and your matchup pinned on top. |
| Trade Block | Your league’s live trade market — list players, set wants, get match alerts. See Trade Block. |
| Keepers | Surplus-value keep/cut lists from your league’s real keeper costs. Keeper and dynasty leagues only. See Keeper Value Engine. |
| Ledger | Draft pick and prospect asset tracking. Hidden in redraft leagues. See Draft Pick & Prospect Ledger. |
| State of the League | The 2×2 competitive-window map of every team. Hidden in redraft leagues. See State of the League. |
| Admin | League management — sync, recaps, keeper rules, teams, members, and invites. Detailed below. |
The Admin Tab
Section titled “The Admin Tab”Actions
Section titled “Actions”League admins get an actions bar at the top:
- Sync — pull the latest rosters and league data from ESPN on demand (rosters also sync automatically every 15 minutes).
- Import League — link another ESPN league. Disabled until you’ve added ESPN credentials in Settings.
- Delete — remove the league from Batter’s Eye (with an inline confirmation). Creator only.
The League Rag Card
Section titled “The League Rag Card”League creators and admins configure weekly recaps here. When enabled, Batter’s Eye writes a public weekly recap every Monday — matchup narratives, waiver steals, trade grades, and standings movement. Owner real names are never included.
- Enable weekly recaps — the master switch.
- League format — Redraft, Keeper, or Dynasty. This same setting unlocks the Keepers, Ledger, and State of the League tabs.
- Voice — the recap’s writing persona:
- Beat Writer — a sharp local beat reporter: clean prose, headlines, an affectionate needle.
- Studio Analyst — an ESPN studio-desk analyst mid-segment: hot takes, then credit where it’s due.
- Degenerate — your most unhinged league-mate at 1 a.m.: filthy, savage, always holding the receipt. Because it’s explicit and the recap page is public, this voice only saves after you check “I understand this voice is explicit and the recap is public.”
- Generate now — publish a recap on demand (available once recaps are enabled).
- A list of published recaps with copy-link and open buttons.
Keeper Economics Card
Section titled “Keeper Economics Card”In keeper and dynasty leagues, creators and admins configure how keeper cost is computed from draft results — escalation rounds per year kept, max keepers, the cost round for undrafted pickups, and whether to track keep-years. Sensible defaults apply until you change anything; changes apply with an explicit Save keeper rules button. See Keeper Value Engine for what these rules drive.
Teams, Members, and Invites
Section titled “Teams, Members, and Invites”Three sub-tabs (Invites is admin-only):
- Teams — every fantasy team with its claimed owner. Claim your own team here (badges and My Team features key off it); admins can Assign any team to a member, and you can Unclaim yours.
- Members — everyone in the league, with admin badges and a warning for members who haven’t claimed a team yet.
- Invites — create invite links for leaguemates. If unclaimed teams exist, a team selector lets you target an invite at a specific team (default is a generic all-teams invite). Hit Create Invite, then Copy Link to share. Team-targeted invites auto-claim that team for whoever joins with the link — see Joining a League.
Multiple Leagues
Section titled “Multiple Leagues”You can be in as many leagues as you like. Use the league switcher in the page header (or the header dropdown) to move between them — each league keeps its own rosters, ownership badges, and recommendations.
Related Features
Section titled “Related Features”- Trade Block — the league’s live trade market.
- Keeper Value Engine — keep/cut lists from real keeper costs.
- State of the League — the competitive-window map.
- The League Rag — the public weekly recap.
