Player Rankings

The Players page is the heart of Batter’s Eye. It aggregates rankings from 7 fantasy baseball sources into a single consensus view, combining them with real stats, projections, and league ownership data.

Ranking Sources

Rankings are pulled daily from:

• FantasyPros Redraft — consensus redraft rankings
• FantasyPros Dynasty — consensus dynasty rankings
• Razzball Redraft — redraft rankings
• Yahoo Redraft — Yahoo’s top 300
• Fantrax Dynasty — dynasty rankings
• Rotoballer Redraft — mixed redraft rankings
• Rotoballer Dynasty — dynasty rankings

Each player’s average rank is calculated across all sources that rank them. You can see per-source rankings by hovering over any player’s average rank.

View Modes

Use the tabs at the top to switch between:

• All — shows both redraft and dynasty source averages
• Redraft — filters to redraft sources only
• Dynasty — filters to dynasty sources only

Data Views

Toggle between different data displays:

• Stats — current season batting/pitching stats (AVG, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, OPS, etc.)
• Fantasy — fantasy-relevant ratios and calculated values
• Projections — Steamer projections for the current season

Note

Stats update daily at 5 AM ET. Projections refresh weekly.

Filtering

• Position — filter by All, P, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, UTIL
• Team — filter by MLB team
• Roster — filter by ownership status (All Rosters, Free Agents, My Team, etc.)
• Watchlist — toggle to show only your watchlisted players
• Search — type a player name to search instantly
• Sources — choose which ranking sources to include in the average

The High/Low Column

The H/L column shows the range of rankings across sources:

• The green number is the player’s highest (best) ranking
• The red number is their lowest (worst) ranking

A wide spread means sources disagree on the player’s value — these are often the most interesting players to target.

Tip

Wide H/L spreads often signal undervalued players — at least one source thinks they’re significantly better than their average rank suggests. These are great targets to research further.

Comparing Players

Click the checkbox next to any player (visible on hover) to select them for comparison. Selected players appear in the Compare Panel at the bottom of the screen. From there you can:

• View side-by-side stats
• Run trade analysis
• Simulate swaps (if you have a league selected)

Season / Year Selection

Use the year dropdown in the header to switch between seasons. This controls which year’s stats are displayed and which projections are shown. Available seasons are determined by what data has been loaded.

News Indicators

Players with recent news (within the last 7 days) show a newspaper icon next to their name. Clicking the icon opens the player’s detail modal directly to the News tab, where you can see transactions, injuries, and other relevant events.

Ownership Badges

When you have a league selected, each player shows a colored badge indicating which team owns them. Your own team’s players are highlighted distinctly so you can quickly spot who’s available.
